This paper uses energy values to establish an estimation method of oceanic ecosystem service based on non-monetary ecosystem service values evaluation, which is used to estimate China's oceanic ecosystem service values in 2012 with objectives of providing reference for governmental managements in planning oceanic resources. According to oceanic ecosystem service values in 2012, China's 13 coastal provinces (cities) are ranked as follows: Guangdong, Shandong, Taiwan, Fujian, Hainan (Sansha city excluded), Liaoning, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Guangxi, Hebei, Tianjin and Sansha city (only coral reef and sea grass bed considered). Seven categories of oceanic ecosystems whose unit service values are in a decreasing order are mangrove, salt swamp, tidal flat, estuary, sea grass bed, warm water coral reef and 12 sea miles water, suggesting a bigger unit ecosystem service value in shore wetland, compared to coastal water. So protection of existing shore wetland ecosystem or expansion of its area helps increase oceanic ecosystem service values. The major ecosystem services include increasing biological diversity, fixing carbon and releasing oxygen, and natural power generation with their contribution over 70%.

This paper, based on Chongqing`s 896 farmers`questionnaires in ten counties, establishes a Logistic model to analyze the differentiated responses to homestead transfer from family, cost-benefit-risk, regional environment and so on. There is a positive influence from the proportion of non-agricultural income to total income, social guarantee in farmers variable, and a negative influence from homestead and its attachments values, farmers` risk self-evaluation in cost-benefit-risk variables. There is a positive influence from non-agricultural employment rate and policy support, but a negative influence from transportation in regional environment variables, and no influence from education level, ages, family members, non-agricultural distance.

A CASE STUDY OF YUNYANG COUNTY: ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION LAND UTILIZATION IN SANXIA RESERVOIR AREA
MAI Xiao-sen YANG Qing-yuan
Resources & Industries    2008, 10 (2): 67-70.
Abstract2233)      PDF(pc) (1177KB)(1317)       Save

Yunyang county is located in the core zone of Sanxia Reservoir with a complicated terrain, making it typical in its land utilization. This paper makes a case study of Yunyang county, analyzes the present status and historic changes of construction land utilization, selects 10 counties (districts) including Wanzhou district, Liangping county and Fengdu county as comparison , and evaluates the economic efficiency levels of construction lands in Yunyang, and finally presents some approaches to intensive utilization of construction lands, offering a reference to economize the construction lands and enhance their intensive utilization, and to ascertain a direction of land utilization.
